Much of Gavin’s work focuses on the complexities of the human condition as shown through surreal expressions of people and sculptures, illustrating such emotions as love, hate, greed, wonder, sadness, self awareness etc, and usually with a story to tell.
Gavin calls this style ‘Surreal Expressionism’.  Gavin is currently working on a series of paintings influenced by festivals where he tries to capture the energy, vibrancy, colour and characters of the performers and audience.
For this painting of The Deep, I have tried to capture the drama and atmosphere by creating an almost surreal feel to the content.

Her interest in literature introduced her to photography. As she transfers her experience of reading poems to reading photographs. This lead her work into social documentary, identifying communities that are often overlooked and forgotten about. It is here where she brings light to such communities, documenting them through an emotive and poetic rendition. Her work is inclusive and collaborative with the community she works with.
